What to expect when applying to Council for a New Driveway

Ok so you’re considering improving your home with a brand spanking new driveway, where do you start?
- Obtain a a Quote from a qualified concrete contractor that holds a licences required to complete your project. The Contractor will also need to hold Public Liability Insurance to safe guard against any accidental damage like hitting sewer pipes or phone lines.
- Finalise your Design & Finish and any colours. You can view our patterns & colour charts by clicking the links.
- Apply to Council for your new driveway. Depending on which Council your home falls under, fees range from $97 to $500. The application will ask for your Concrete Contractors licence number & insurance details. - Your Concrete Contractor will then ensure excavation and levels, footings, sub bases etc are completed to Council Specifications and book with Council for inspection and approval.
- Once Council Approval is received (usually within 1-3 days of submitting application) your Concrete Contractor can pour concrete and finish your project.
